Recently, 300 passengers boarded a plane from the United States and experienced a nightmare journey.

According to media reports, Air India Flight 126 was traveling from Chicago O’Hare Airport in the United States to Delhi, India.

The flight took off from the US at 10:59 am and had a flying time of 14 hours.

However, shortly after the flight took off, 11 of the 12 toilets on board were blocked.

The only one available was the business class toilet.

All of a sudden, the line of toilets was so long that you couldn’t see the head of the line, and some passengers even suffocated to the point of jumping to their feet, so the airplane had no choice but to return to the airport.

According to the passengers on board to shoot the screen shows that the scene was a mess, dozens of passengers stood up to listen to the flight attendant to explain this terrible situation.

Finally, nearly 10 hours after takeoff, the plane returned to Chicago O’Hare Airport.

We would like to confirm that during the investigation of the incident, our team discovered plastic bags, rags and clothes flushed down and stuck in the pipes. This rendered the restrooms unusable.

While we fully understand the feelings of those passengers who felt uncomfortable and whose travel plans were impacted by the diversion, we would like to make the following factual statements about the flight

The flight departed on time at 16 48 UTC.

Approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes after takeoff, the crew reported that some restrooms in Business and Economy Class were not working. Subsequently, 8 of the 12 restrooms on the aircraft became inoperable, resulting in discomfort for everyone on board.

At this point, the plane was flying across the Atlantic Ocean, and a number of cities in Europe could have been alternatives. However, due to restrictions on night operations at most European airports, the airplane finally decided to return to Chicago.

The decision to reroute was made solely for the comfort and safety of the passengers.

Upon arrival in Chicago, all passengers were provided with immediate assistance, including hotel accommodation and alternative flight options to continue on to Delhi.

While not found on Flight AI126 on March 5, 2025, our team has previously found trash such as blankets, underwear, and diapers flushed down the toilet on other flights, and we take this opportunity to also urge passengers to use the restrooms only for their intended purpose.

There is no way to ascertain how bad the blockage was.

The toilet habits of different cultures are unbelievable. Having flown at least 45 international flights a year for many years, I can’t believe what some people think the toilet is for.

However, when it comes to Air India, the internet is shocked but strangely able to understand.

My mom once flew on a plane from New York to Delhi that had toilet water leaking into the aisle. So it’s normal.

A month ago, my family flew on Air India from ORD to DEL and they told me there were only four toilets available. So for a whole month, they didn’t bother to fix the airplane. It was a 15 hour flight and after only four to five hours of flying, the rest of the toilets were completely unusable. We had a small child who needed to use the toilet and no amount of disinfectant or masks could make up for the unsanitary conditions. They ended up hospitalized for two weeks after arriving in India. I had a similar experience on a DEL IAD flight last week. I took photos and videos and will post them here and on X soon.

The AI is degrading every day. I’ve sat in AI where the armrests broke and the seat cushion fell off.

Air India 35,000 feet in the air with a toilet disaster. This must be the disaster movie to end all disasters!

I have flown to India a couple of times. On every flight, at least one of the toilets was full or closed. This was the craziest toilet on any flight I’ve ever been on.

I have been to India almost 10 times I always fly with Air India as I have not checked the flights of other airlines.

Air India is by far the most disgusting airline I have ever traveled on.

Seats are broken TV’s are broken AC’s are broken toilets are so on and so forth.

Indians have nothing to do with it. It’s like it’s ingrained in their national identity. In public, in the river, clogging up airplane bathrooms, they even have massive wars every year, and that’s no joke.
